This panel will explore perspectives of collecting artists in different moments of their careers, from emerging, to mid-career, to established. These panelists bring varied expertise on contemporary art and will shed light on why and how to collect a wide range of artists.

Carolyn Ramo is the Executive Director of Artadia, a national non-profit organization that supports artists directly through its unrestricted Artadia Award grant program. Prior to leading Artadia, Carolyn was a partner at Taxter & Spengemann, a contemporary art gallery that focused on emerging artists.
Davida Nemeroff founded Night Gallery in Los Angeles in 2010. Over the past 13 years, she has built a roster of emerging, mid-career, and established artists. Nemeroff has gradually expanded the gallery, bringing it to international prominence while ensuring that it remains a hub for Los Angeles’s thriving visual art community.
Suzanne Modica is a co-founder of Modica Carr Art Advisory and specializes in serving collectors of post-War and Contemporary art. Suzanne currently works with clients on all aspects of their collections, and oversees special projects for the firm, from publishing to architectural projects and private exhibitions.
