December 6, 2025 at 6:00pm
Celebrate closing weekend of our current exhibitions with an in-depth conversation between David Antonio Cruz, Masako Miki, and LYRA Foundation Curator Meghan Smith. Hear the artists’ perspectives on their processes, concepts, and exhibition design, as well as reflections on these last site-specific installations in the 345 Montgomery space.
Grab a drink, mingle in community, and get your copy of ICA SF’s first ever exhibition catalogue for David Antonio Cruz: stay, take your time, my love.
6:00pm: Doors open to the public, catalogues for sale
6:30pm: Artist talk begins
Afterwards, join us for the official afterparty at The Third Floor at The Jay Hotel.
Designed by Miko McGinty, the catalogue centers Cruz’s voice and process. Contributions include essays and interviews by Meghan Smith, curator and activist Jasmine Wahi, and scholar Timothy E. Bradley, who together trace Cruz’s evolving practice, the politics of queer visibility, and the power of chosen family. The book culminates in a section designed by Cruz himself—revealing glimpses into his studio, art historical influences, photoshoots, and personal archives.
Generously supported by Pamela & David Hornik and Kayleen Arnke & Stuart Parmenter.
Members at the Curator’s Club level and above get access to a special champagne toast with David Antonio Cruz. Not a member yet? Join today!
